Knowing nothing about the film when it popped up on IFC turned out to be part of the pleasure. The film, about an Australian lawyer, David Burton, who must defend aborigines in a murder trial, amidst strange premonitions, is full of rich details and is thoroughly captivating. The cinematography is brilliant and Burton (played by Richard Chamberlain) shows notable style.
